Available nominal sizes are 16x25x4 and 20x25x4. The nominal size can be called out differently depending on the brand or the system. Please check the actual size of the frame. If it is still not what you are looking for, please call 1-800-364-3577 from the United States or Canada or send a message and we will let you know when your size is available.

Currently two filtration levels are available: Filtrete™ MPR 1550 Refillable Air Filter Allergen, Bacteria & Virus (MERV 12), which is included in the kit. Filtrete™ MPR 1000 Refillable Air Filter Allergen Defense (MERV 11) Select the filtration level that is right for you.

How do I assemble the filter?
Assembly is very easy and takes under a minute. First, open the frame by pulling the latches outward. Then, insert filter ends into the frame slots. Finally, close the frame and secure the latches. Please click on the link to watch the instructions.

How do I make sure the filter will not collapse/get sucked into the HVAC system?
Ensure the filter is assembled correctly — see assembly instructions. Make sure the ✓ (check mark) is visible through the frame window and the frame is fully closed. Insert the frame with the airflow arrow pointing towards the blower motor.

Does the direction of the reusable frame or refillable filter matter?
Yes, there are air flow arrows on each side of the frame and you need to insert the frame with the air flow arrow pointing towards the blower motor. There is only one way to insert the filter into the frame slots and you will see a ✓ (check mark) when the filter is assembled correctly.

Is the refillable air filter component reusable?
The frame is reusable and designed to last the lifetime of your HVAC system (up to 20 years). The refillable air filters are not reusable, but one filter lasts up to 12 months.

Can I use any brand to refill the reusable frame?
The reusable frame is designed to work with Filtrete™ Refillable Air Filters.

How should I dispose of the filter?
You can place the refillable filter into the regular landfill garbage, keeping your trash less full by 75% less space, and 20% less waste by weight and than the traditional Filtrete™ Air Filters.

Where is Filtrete™ Refillable Air Filter made?
The reusable frame is made in the U.S. and the refillable air filter is made in Mexico.

Do I need to clean the frame?
Some buildup of dust over time is normal on the frame. If needed, clean with water and wipe dry.
